Friday Night was quite the lovely it had meant to be from the get go by rendering its charms upon us. Enough with the flowery wordiness!
We went to Wheelan's here in Dublin and had a great time in a great venue. Who played?
First, it was Rhob Cunningham from Our Little Secrets.
This man absolutely rocked! Now, the little bit of light in the picture above is him digging at his guitar. Of course, I am quite frustrated for not having a much better camera *I could have flashed it, but I absolutely despise the look of bright flashed takes and I am sure the people there would have given me the evil look anyway* Below is an official-looking shot from Our Little Secrets' My Space site
His voice reminded me of a mix between Sondre Lerche and Devendra Berndhard but with a nice touch of sensuality that shouldn't be compared. And for some strange reason, he reminded me of Heath Ledger, but better looking and not dead (hmmm... too soon?).
Enough of this!
Now, moving onto the main act, Mr. Mark Morriss from The Bluetones graced us with his presence in the company of a lovely & chatty repertoire.
It felt as if we were just hanging out with our musician friends as they were practicing or something. A truly amazing night :)
I would write about our Saturday, but then I'd be here for yet another 20 minutes and we can not afford that today. Hubster and I are preparing to receive some good friends from the good ol' US of A; this means I've got to clean up my act and make home pretty. Meh.
In summary of our weekend all I can say for now is: "Thank you Dublin!"
More later.
